MAGICFEST BIGGER AND BETTER THIS YEAR! Rossner Productions, Studio One Cameras, White Spot on Cliffe and Canadian Tire, Courtenay are proud to present the return of Magicfest to the Sid Williams Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 21.          Clinton W. Gray, a.k.a. The Prestidigitainer, returns to Magicfest 2006 after amazing people last year with his Houdini-esque 100 foot rope escape. Magicfest 2006 features two completely separate shows beginning at 2 p.m. with a children oriented matinee featuring the amazing antics of Greg Ladret, the hilarity of Matthew Johnson, and Lots o' Laughs along with the Comox Valley's own Lawrence Belfrage. Then at 6 p.m., a Vegas style show is sure to leave all ages in awe. Clinton W. Gray, aka The Prestidigitainer, is back by popular demand, after amazing people last year with his Houdini-esque 100 foot rope escape! The dictionary defines prestidigitation as the use of skillful tricks and artful deceptions to produce seemingly impossible results. In a word, magic. It also describes the world entertainer as one who holds the attention of an audience with something that is amusing and delightful. Prestidigitation plus entertainer, put the two words together and you have prestidigitainer; a customized, innovative and unique stage presentation which blends magic, music and mayhem into a high-energy, interactive comedy show. Featuring Clinton's unbelievable entertainment pieces that have made him a five-time international award-winning performer and taken him around the world, the key feature of every performance is the full involvement of the audience, where volunteers are actually drawn into the act and become the true stars of the show. Magicfest 2006 tickets are $10 for the matinee, and $25 for the evening show, or the package deal with a evening and matinee ticket for $30 which includes one extra matinee ticket free (subject to availability).
